This was made from frozen mixed berries, following a standard recipe (the Joy of Cooking–an oldie but goodie). The crust was pre-made (from Trader Joe’s, sold frozen) because … let’s just say that pie crust is not my strong suit. The trick to getting the frozen berries to work is using a good amount of tapioca (otherwise they get very runny). The stars were cut out using some mini Christmas cookie cutters. Also, brushing the top crust with milk makes it brown nicely.
